The Discover Rogers County Selfie Tour invites you to explore eight unique destinations across Rogers County while capturing selfies along the way.
Submit selfies from five tour stops to earn a commemorative Selfie Tour T-shirt, or complete all eight to earn a limited-edition lapel pin. It’s a fun way to discover landmarks, hidden gems, and some of the places that make Rogers County special.
How to Participate:
1. Visit the official selfie tour stops across eight Rogers County communities between July 16 – August 16.
2. Take a selfie at each stop.
3. Submit your photos through the official form (linked below).
4. Participants ages 12+ who complete five of the eight communities earn an official Discover Rogers County t-shirt. Adult size t-shirts only while supplies last.
5. Participants of all ages who complete all eight communities receive a commemorative lapel pin.
Our first stop is the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore. Explore the life and legacy of Oklahoma’s favorite son through fascinating exhibits, the world’s largest collection of Will Rogers memorabilia, beautiful grounds, and panoramic views overlooking Claremore.
The Discover Rogers County Selfie Tour continues in Inola at Countrymen BBQ, where award-winning smoked brisket, ribs, pulled pork and all the classic barbecue favorites are waiting.
Note: Countrymen BBQ is open 5-8pm on Saturdays, but selfies in front of the building during off hours are allowed.

For years, travelers along Route 66 have made The Nut House in Verdigris a must-stop destination. Browse an incredible selection of fresh roasted nuts, homemade fudge, Route 66 souvenirs, Oklahoma-made products, gifts, and sweet treats before snapping your selfie.
Strike a pose with the Cherokee Kid! This bronze statue celebrates a young Will Rogers during his early cowboy days, honoring the Cherokee humorist whose talents with a rope launched him to worldwide fame.
Take a selfie at the heart of Talala! The Talala Town Park features a colorful playground, picnic areas and plenty of open space, making it a fun place to stretch your legs and enjoy one of Rogers County’s smallest and friendliest towns.
Celebrate one of Route 66’s greatest hometown heroes! Snap a photo with the Andy Payne Statue, honoring the Foyil native and Cherokee runner who won the legendary 3,400-mile Transcontinental Footrace from Los Angeles to New York in 1928.
Go under Route 66! One of the few remaining open pedestrian underpasses along Oklahoma’s Mother Road, this hidden gem features a colorful mural highlighting Chelsea’s history.
