Sponsored by Oklahoma-Kansas Welsh Pony Society\, who has promoted and encouraged the use and enjoyment of Welsh ponies and cobs since its formation in 1962. Welsh ponies are well known for their friendliness and a favorite for children. They not only make great children’s horses but they excel in driving as well. There will not only be plenty of beautiful dogs\, but vendors specializing in pet and show supply merchandise will be on hand as well.  There will also be a Microchip Clinic & Eye Clinic on site too. \nWith the many breeds represented and competing\, there is a category for every dog lover. This event is fun for the entire family and as always\, admission is free. Watch as the different breeds compete for the top spot in their individual category. As these breeds compete\, cheer as your favorites strut their stuff vying for the coveted Best in Show title.  There are also many other prestige awards! \nAbout the Claremore Kennel Club \nThe Claremore Kennel Club is a not for profit group of dog owners interested in promoting the sport of purebred dogs. Their objective is to promote the usefulness of all dogs (purebred or mixed breeds) in today’s society. Claremore Kennel Club conducts All Breed dog shows in accordance with the rules of the American Kennel Club.  They also promote cooperation and good sportsmanship among members in the training and exhibition. \nThe Claremore Kennel Club formed in 1983. The club supports the community by teaching classes in obedience\, puppy kindergarten\, and Conformation. The club also holds 2 All Breed AKC Licensed dog shows per year.\n\nThe Rogers County Fair provides the CKC with booth space to educate the public in responsible pet ownership. DESCRIPTION:Claremore Lake 4th of July Festivities will take place on Saturday July 1st this year!  In preparation of the celebration\, Claremore Lake Park will close at 10:00pm on Thursday June 29th.  The Park will remain closed until Saturday July 1st. \nOn Saturday July 1st\, we invite you to come out to Claremore Lake Park for our annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular! \nAt 6:00 pm on July 1st\, the Claremore Lake Park will re-open to the public.  The evening will kick off with the National Anthem and Raising of the Flag by the Claremore Fire Department at 6:30 pm followed by music provided by a DJ and family fun until the Fireworks show begins at approximately 9:30 pm. \nClaremore Lake Park will close Thursday June 29\, 2023\, at 10 pm for event preparations. DESCRIPTION:Shepherd’s Cross is hosting its annual Woolly Gospel Singing. All individuals\, families\, or church groups are invited to listen or participate. Gospel\, Country Christian\, Worship and Hymns will be enjoyed inside the Tour Barn. Gospel Sing is 1pm to 4pm. We need volunteer musicians to bring your instruments\, your voice\, and your favorite songs. Folks can pick\, sing\, and play together – like the good old Days! Those who register in advance are given priority on the roster that fills quickly. However\, we will allow walk-ins as time allows. A few antique tractors will be on display for the day.
