SUMMARY:Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd’s Cross
DESCRIPTION:The Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd’s Cross is a fun event for the entire family. Starting the last weekend in September\, this festival will run through the first weekend in November.  The festival is open to the public Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm. DESCRIPTION:The Rogers County Fair returns to Claremore this September. From animals to carnival rides\, there is something for everyone at the Rogers County Fair. Local Rogers County students will be in the barn area with their show animals everyday throughout the weekend as thy compete for top honors. Local area vendors will be inside the expo hall for browsing and shopping. Also located inside the Claremore Expo will be the indoor exhibit displays. Food trucks\, carnival rides\, nightly entertainment and lots of fun will fill the outdoor space at the Expo Center! \nExpo Hall will be open for vendor shopping and exhibit viewing from Thursday through Saturday from 9am to 9pm.  Carnival hours will be Thursday and Friday from 6pm to 10pm.  Saturday and Sunday are two carnival sessions with the first one being 1pm to 5pm followed by a second session from 6pm to 10pm.  Tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase for each session.

DESCRIPTION: \nHand Dyeing Yarn – Day Retreat Saturday May 10th\, 2025\, 8:30 am Learn how to easily create vibrant and uniquely colored yarns & roving. Gaywool Dye is an easy\, safe\, economical\, color fast and dependable dyeing product. Class includes all materials needed to take home beautifully dyed yarn and roving. The class is taught by a Gaywool Dye Instructor. Choose between a full day or half day class Full Day Make 3 colorful skeins and one colorful braid of roving 8:30 am – 4:00 pm Class Fee: $109 Half Day Make 2 skeins of colorful yarn 8:30 am – 12:00 noon Class Fee: $59 Bring a sack lunch. We provide beverages. There is a class minimum of five\, and a maximum of 20 participants. Additionally\, inquire about hosting a hand dye class at your location or about becoming a Gaywool Dye Wholesale Dealer. Retreats are augmented by hands on learning tools available in the Educational Farm Museum. There you can find a collection of fiber arts from around the world. Other fiber arts classes are offered on an individual or group basis throughout the year. The Farm Store is open Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm\, year-round\, offering Gaywool dyes in a variety of sizes\, hand dyed and un-dyed natural yarns\, roving and Gaywool Dyes. Additionally\, the store offers handmade gifts\, farm fresh meats and produce\, and many more items. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility\, a “Made in Oklahoma” Company\, and Animal Welfare Approved. It is home to a non-profit Christian organization named Heart of the Shepherd that hosts this event. DESCRIPTION:The Claremore Kennel Club is set to host their annual Dog Show again this year!  Head over to the Claremore Expo Center and watch as local and regional dogs showcase the finest qualities of their breed.  The Claremore Kennel Club’s Annual Dog Show is March 27th\, 28th\, 29th & March 30th! There will not only be plenty of beautiful dogs\, but vendors specializing in pet and show supply merchandise will be on hand as well.  There will also be a Microchip Clinic & Eye Clinic on site too. \nWith the many breeds represented and competing\, there is a category for every dog lover. This event is fun for the entire family and as always\, admission is free. Watch as the different breeds compete for the top spot in their individual category. As these breeds compete\, cheer as your favorites strut their stuff vying for the coveted Best in Show title.  There are also many other prestige awards! \nAbout the Claremore Kennel Club \nThe Claremore Kennel Club is a not for profit group of dog owners interested in promoting the sport of purebred dogs. Their objective is to promote the usefulness of all dogs (purebred or mixed breeds) in today’s society. Claremore Kennel Club conducts All Breed dog shows in accordance with the rules of the American Kennel Club.  They also promote cooperation and good sportsmanship among members in the training and exhibition. \nThe Claremore Kennel Club formed in 1983. The club supports the community by teaching classes in obedience\, puppy kindergarten\, and Conformation. The club also holds 2 All Breed AKC Licensed dog shows per year.\n\nThe Rogers County Fair provides the CKC with booth space to educate the public in responsible pet ownership. Members of the CKC are passionate and respectful of the AKC breed standards.  They exhibit and breed quality purebred dogs to AKC breed standards set forth by each breed’s National Dog Club.  Claremore Kennel Club does not endorse breeding and wholesaling of purebred dogs.
