DESCRIPTION:Taste of Claremore is our annual food and wine tasting event with local shopping and live music in the Lilac District. Patrons can wander Downtown Claremore and experience the Taste of Claremore as they sample food and wine.  You will have sample some of our best local restaurants set up in downtown small businesses offering you the opportunity to shop while tasting.  There will be live music and entertainment by local musicians throughout the evening. This year’s event is sponsored by the amazing folks at Spectrum Paint Company. \nPurchase tickets early and plan to enjoy a night on the town while trying some of the best food around.  Not only will you have fun\, but you will also be supporting local businesses. SUMMARY:Andy Payne Route 66 Half Marathon/5K Race
DESCRIPTION:In 1928\, a Cherokee farm boy ran the entirety of U.S. Route 66 – Los Angeles to Chicago – and onward to New York City. The halfway point for that era’s biggest sporting event was Claremore\, Oklahoma. \nMost of the field of world class runners included participants from over 24 countries could not endure the 84 grueling days of the 3\,423 mile Trans-Continental Footrace. The Mother Road crossed through the Mojave Desert and wound along vast plains\, offering blistering heat\, sleet and snow.
