Roosa Space Day – To the Moon and Back

September 18, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Claremore Museum of History (MoH), in partnership with Claremore Public Schools, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Claremore native astronaut Stuart A Roosa’s Apollo 14 mission to the moon.  Activities include:

  • Unveiling a new Roosa exhibit at MoH
  • Groundbreaking for a planned Roosa playground
  • Moon Tree dedication
  • Appearance and book signing with Oklahoma Space historian and author, Bill Moore, who wrote “Oklahomans and Space”
  • Special Members Only event starting at 4 p.m. with additional NASA space artifacts and reception.  To become a member, visit www.claremoremoh.org
